Right now, in 2012, most of the world’s population depends on Fossil Fuels for their energy and/or transportation needs. We mine and harvest fuels such as Crude Oil, Natural Gas, and Coal all over the planet. All in all, over 85% of our global energy consumption is derived from fossil fuels. Fossil Fuels as a whole are currently the most economically viable source of energy we have.
